OTO Self-Defense
"The ultimate aim of martial arts is not having to use them." - Miyamoto Musashi
Recognizing that most altercations don’t warrant using a firearm, we offer one-time classes, multi-class packages, and continuing training in various self-defense disciplines, including Karate, Aikido, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. All classes are led by credentialed Trainers in their respective disciplines, with personal involvement by Justin where warranted. Credentials and bios for all of our Trainers will be provided before all classes.
In addition to more formal classes, we tailor private training for individuals, families, security teams, and other small groups, in areas like Defense Against Edged Weapons, Defense Against Firearms, defending against a baton, and escaping various chokeholds, lapel grabs, and wrist grabs.
Most of our self-defense classes also include a cardio and calisthenic workout, as well as core strengthening.
Formal classes take place in a dojo; private sessions can take place anywhere, in some cases including in the comfort of your own home.
We like to be creative and flexible; if you have specific needs or concerns, reach out and we’ll do our best to work something out for you.
Your safety is always our Number 1 priority. If you have an injury or other physical condition (or just haven’t worked out in a while, or ever) and are on the fence about training, don’t disqualify yourself! Reach out, and we’ll discuss what we can do for you within your personal limitations.
(Although our training is typically co-ed, our team includes male and female Trainers, and we can arrange for single-gender classes upon request.)
