OTO Firearms

"Today is victory over yesterday;

tomorrow is victory over lesser men."

- Miyamoto Musashi

Led by Howie and Justin, OTO Firearms offers defensive Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun training for students of all skill levels, from first-timers to more advanced shooters.  OTO Firearms Trainers are Law Enforcement Instructors, Armed Guard Instructors certified by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and NRA certified civilian firearms Instructors.

Course offerings include NY Concealed Carry (a/k/a "the 18-hour class"); NRA and non-NRA Courses covering Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun fundamentals and advanced shooting skills; Active Shooter Response, Room Clearing, and CQB; and Force-on-Target and Force-on-Force scenario-based firearms training.  Click on the Courses and Private Sessions link for descriptions of some of what we provide.

In addition to more formal Courses, we tailor private training for individuals, families, "Date Nights," Security Teams, and other small groups.  Private training opportunities include classroom lectures, live fire sessions at a range, and Room Clearing Techniques and Force-on-Target scenarios in your own home. (Due to the sensitive nature of in-home training and personal security plans, please contact us to discuss these training programs in person.)

We like to be creative and flexible; if there’s something specific you’d like to work on, reach out and we’ll do our best to work something out for you.

Never handled a firearm?  Not a problem!  Justin and Howie are equally adept at patiently guiding beginners and making them feel comfortable, as they are at providing "high speed" training to more experienced shooters.  They will work with you at your own pace and comfort level; no student will ever be pushed to do anything he or she is not comfortable doing.

(Although our training is typically co-ed, and we encourage mixed classes, we can arrange for single-gender classes upon request.)

To discuss training opportunities, email us at oto@teamoto.net or call us at 959-TEAM OTO.

* All participants in OTO Firearms Classes must be at least 21 years old.
